*If you would like to book a coordinated tour to Vancouver from Victoria, please contact UVic’s on-campus travel agency, Merit Travel. They are able to organize travel to and from Vancouver, as well as tours in Vancouver. They can also handle group bookings. Merit Travel is located in the Student Union Building if you would like to visit in-person.

Museum of Anthropology, University of British Columbia
MOA Tour — 11am / 2pm / Thursday evenings: 6pm
This 60-minute tour explores the highlights of the many Museum galleries. Free with admission, the tour provides visitors with an introduction to the Museum’s Northwest Coast collections, the Koerner European Ceramics collection, and the Multiversity Gallery, as well as an in-depth look at Bill Reid’s The Raven and the First Men. You will also be introduced to the themes of any existing temporary exhibitions.

Layers of Influence Tour — Tuesdays, 1pm
This 20-minute tour introduces the temporary exhibition explores the highlights of Layers of Influence: Unfolding Cloth Across Cultures. A sumptuous feast for the eyes, this exhibition showcases stunning textiles from MOA’s global collection and explores the human connection to clothing across cultures. Free with admission.

Vancouver Art Gallery
Guided tours are a great way to learn about the cultural and social contexts of artworks on display. Tours explore both historical and contemporary works, and are led by experienced art professionals and educators.

Hour-long Survey Tours provide a general overview of current exhibitions and 30-minute Hot Spots focus discussions around particular pieces. All tours (excluding Private Guided Tours/Group Tours) are free for members or with Gallery admission..

Gallery Tours
The Gallery presents guided tours of a selection of exhibitions every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, free with Gallery admission.
